This beach west of Saint-Nazaire became famous when it was chosen as the location for the 1953 French film, Mr. Hulot’s Holiday (Les Vacances de M. Hulot) by French film director Jacques Tati.
Today it feels like not a lot has changed since then—golden sands, framed by cliffs and wind-blown trees, and with the elegant Hôtel de la Plage still holding court on the seafront.
